Post Game Blitz: Notre Dame Defeats Stanford

In front of a packed Notre Dame Stadium, the ND defensive and offensive lines became lumberjacks and cut down the tree. The Irish defense doesn’t like love and it showed. The defense held Love to 73 yards on 17 attempts. K.J. Costello was held to 15-27 for 174 yards, 5 carries for a staggering -28 yards. The defense had a miscue that led to 7 points by Stanford on yet another penalty.

The offense for the Irish was in business. The Irish offense had an outstanding 550 yards of total offense. 272 net yards rushing on 55 attempts. Saturday night saw the return of Dexter Williams as well. On his first carry he went for pay dirt and scampered for 45 yards. That’s a way toΒ .return to the line-up.

Ian Book kept all engaged as he threw for 278 yards on a 24-37 passing game stunner. Ian has emerged as the offensive leader of this team. The team is playing at the tempo he is setting. Miles Boykin had a tremendous night as well. 11-14 for 144 yards and a TD reception.

Game Balls

🏈🏈🏈 Jerry Tillery-4 sacks on the night and he received the game ball, 6 total tackles and a forced fumble.

🏈🏈 Tyler Newsome-4 punts, 205 total yards average 51.2, and a long of 53.

🏈 Ian Book-This kid can ball. He owns everything he does. He expects as much out of himself as he does his teammates.

This team has confidence in itself. Everyone need to be on board this train before its too late.

Cheers and Go Irish! ☘

  1. I’m a believer! This team has it all! I’m also giving game balls to Dexter Williams, who ran like a man possessed, and Miles-Eleven Receptions!-Boykin!
